Jim Cornelison Sings Epic National Anthem Before Bears vs. Seahawks 2011 NFL Playoff Game

Before Chicago Blackhawks NHL hockey games, Jim Cornelison sings our national anthem. He was invited to perform the song before the NFL playoff game between the Seattle Seahawks and Chicago Bears on 1/16/2011 at Soldier Field in Chicago. He gave an epic performance that is apparently a regular feature preceding home games for the Blackhawks. He sings with pride and vigor that I have not seen since Whitney Houston gave her performance at the Super Bowl following 9-11. This youtube video is awesome…

The song begins with Jim blowing a pitch pipe to get the right note. He sings it a capella as the crowd goes wild, singing along with enthusiasm. Makes me want to be sure to get to a Blackhawks game early.
